When you think of the South you may have visions of sweet tea, Country music, Goo Goo Clusters or an incredibly popular TV show. Enter Nashville native Chonda Pierce, whose cheerful, unpretentious Southern charm, musical talent and laser-sharp wit has garnered laughs and fans across the country. Chonda launched her recent comedy tour "Girl Talk" on April 4 and earlier this week announced she'd be making a stop at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium on Saturday, June 22. This performance is special not only because it's her hometown but because she's filming segments of this show for an upcoming documentary.

Tickets for the June 22 date go on sale today, April 25, through all Ticketmaster outlets as well as http://www.ryman.com and http://www.chonda.org.

Chonda has received five Emmy nominations, appeared in several films including 'Your Love Never Fails' and '12 Wishes of Christmas,' is the author of six best-selling books and was recently honored with the "Comedian of the Year" Visionary Award. She has had seven DVDs certify RIAA Gold (sales exceeding 50,000) and four certified Platinum (for sales of more than 100,000 units).

The release of her latest DVD 'Did I Say That Out Loud' (2010) ushered in a wide range of high profile media stops including a guest appearance on ABC's The View. Her career momentum extends through to a busy touring schedule with most Spring dates already sold out.
